Year self assessment:
Wow. What a year. Each marking period was different and each marking period had its up and downs. For me, my initial thought of what this year in art class was going to be like was a lot different then what it really turned out to be. Not saying it was a bad time, it just wasnt what i thought it would be. Other than that, this year and been a great chance for me to grow in video editing and screenwriting. I am very happy how everything went this year and although sometimes were difficult……very difficult, i was still able to complete great things for the art department, the district, and most of all my portfolio. Thanks for a great year Mr. Miller! (and i think im all caught up?)
Marking Period 3
Date: 3/26/11
This marking period has been probably the most work filled and successful periods this year. I was able finish all the videos for the portfolio students and the art department, which is great for the promotion and popularity of the department. Those videos were a bit stressful at the time, but looking back at the process of creating them, it wasn’t that bad. When I came back from India, I put all my focus on the documentary itself, and it was hard to think about and work on my art proposal. More time went by, and I realized that I would not be able to even do my “Lone Wolves” art project. So at the end of the quarter I switched my project to my documentary, because I worked on that most art periods anyway. So that’s it. It was a great quarter.
Marking Period (Winter 2011, Marking Period 2)

This marking period has been interesting. The work i really wanted to have completed and done has not even been created. This summer i dreamed of producing great video and basically having a huge portfolio. The past two marking periods have been filled with aspirations, but no action. Next marking period i plan on creating real art. This marking period came and went, and my portfolio student videos turned out fairly decent. They will definitely help mr miller with his website and also, the art show. WHICH IS BOTHERING THE HECK OUT OF ME. HOW AM I GOING TO DO IT! – bye
Self Assessment
Fall 2010, Marking Period #1
Date: 11/1/10
This marking period for me honestly was not as eventful as I thought it would be. I had big plans coming in to school and great ideas were produced after a couple of weeks. One of those ideas was the video I was going to do on the homeless in Philadelphia, where I would travel around the city and interact with the homeless there. Unfortunately, every plan I had on going was turned down for different reasons. In the mean time, I had done many other videos and projects, which basically made up for the lost film. Although I feel that I do not deserve an A this marking period because I did not go through with my original proposal.
I have learned a great deal of personal characteristics over this marking period. A lot of the time, I was under pressure, or time constraints. Because of those pressures, many things were late, such as papers, and other assignments. Overall, I missed out on an opportunity to go through with my idea of the homeless film. Now I know better how I can handle the work I have in front of me, and be able to get what I need, and want to get done, done.
